Common Crimes Occurring All Throughout The United States

From the sex offense to the drunk driving accident, there are many different kinds of legal concerns here in the United States. Fortunately, there are many legal professionals and legal services that are more than willing to tackle these problems. From the sex crimes defense attorney to the criminal defense attorney for someone with a DUI, knowing when and where (and how) to contact these lawyers and legal professionals is a matter of great importance for those facing drug charges, for those facing sex offense charges, and for many more people all throughout the country as a whole.

Sex offense crimes are quite high in and of themselves. Part of this is due to the fact that many things can be considered a sex offense, and these things can range from indecent exposure to sexual assault. Sexual assault is a complex issue, where the victim often finds him or herself in the spotlight and taking much of the blame for the incident. Therefore, sexual assault sex offense crimes can be difficult to get a handle on, simply due to the fact that so many will never be reported even if they do happen and have a considerable impact on the victim who has been assaulted. Currently, it’s estimated in the state of Ohio alone that about 86 people out of ever 100,000 have been assaulted in a sexual way, according to data that was gathered back in the year of 2015.

Owning or distributing child pornography is another serious sex offense seen all too frequently here in the United States. And what is considered to be child pornography covers an extensive array of things. Basically, any image or video depicting a young child or anyone who is under the age of 18 in a sexual or explicit way is considered to be child pornography and will be handled as such. It’s important to note that even children can distribute child pornography, such as in cases of nude pictures being sent and passed around among young high school students. While everyone in this scenario is a child, they are all still committing a sex offense.

And the sex offense is far from the only legal concern that many people face here in the United States. Being arrested for the possession of drugs, particularly if it is inferred that there is an intent to distribute, also leads to a great deal of legal cases all throughout the country as a whole. In fact, data collected in the year of 2016 found that more than one million people were arrested for various drug law violations over the course of that single year alone, showing clearly just how prominent and prevalent various types of drugs have become. Unfortunately, with this county in the midst of an opioid crisis, it’s possible for things to get worse before they ever get better.

Driving while intoxicated is another real problem here in the United States, and it is one that will lead to more than one million arrests over the course of the year as well, even if the person driving is under the influence of legal substances. After all, even prescription medications that are taken as directed can lead to a number of different side affects, some of which might hamper a person’s ability to safely drive a car. Driving under the influence of substances that are not alcohol does, in fact, lead to more than 15% of all car accidents that occur here in the United States.

But we certainly cannot forget about drunk driving, as up to 300,000 people get behind the whole while intoxicated each and every day here in the United States alone. It’s no surprise then that up to 28 people will lose their lives in drunk driving related incidents in a single day, or that a new person will become injured in such an incident every time that two minutes passes us by. At the end of the day, drunk driving is incredibly dangerous and is certainly not something to ever be discounted – in any way, shape, or form.

From the sex offense to the drunk driving incident to the distribution of drugs, crimes are many.
